4th January 2011

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at black and white film photography, enlarging and printing your shots.

If you have a film camera then buy a black and white 35mm film and start using it!

Twin lens reflex camera, look here to understand it some more.

By next week in your sketch books you need to:

1. In your own words, explain how black and white 35mm works, research the differences between ISOs.
2. Describe the process of developing film into negatives.
3. Describe the process of making a contact sheet and the reasons for making one.
4. Describe the process of enlarging and printing an image.

You should research this process yourself, use the sites below & books in the cupboard to help.
I will demonstrate but it will make it much clearer when you come to develop your own prints if you have researched this your self & written it up in your own words.

If you have any negatives at home, feel free to bring them in.
Next weeks lessons will be in the darkroom.
